Medical Assisting - Diploma
The objective of this CAAHEP accredited Medical Assisting program is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions as Medical Assistants.

Graduates will be prepared to maintain the highest quality of patient care; take vital signs, run laboratory and diagnostic tests, all while utilizing their organization, communication and management skills. Graduates will be prepared to gain employment in a hospital, clinic, doctor´s office, nursing home, medical supply business, home healthcare agency, insurance company or pharmaceutical company.

Medical Assisting Class Training
Hands-on training includes:

  • Patient care and communication
  • Clinical assisting and pharmacology
  • Medical insurance, bookkeeping and health sciences
  • Cardiopulmonary procedures
  • Laboratory procedures
  • Endocrinology and reproduction
  • Therapeutic care

Upon completion of the required coursework, students participate in a 160-clock-hour externship.

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding - Diploma
The purpose of this medical billing program is to provide students with the appropriate theory and hands-on training necessary to prepare them for entry-level positions as medical insurance billers and coders.  You will gain knowledge of basic coding definitions and how to apply those codes to medical documentation.

This program offers simulated practice where students manually and electronically prepare insurance claims. Students will practice interviewing and documenting skills to obtain the necessary patient information for successfully completing and managing claims.
