| Health Information Technology - Associate of Applied Science
Students earning their degree from Rasmussen College will be prepared to take the examination to become Registered Health Information Technicians (RHITs) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). This program is accredited by AHIMA and CAHIIM. Topics include: Anatomy and Physiology, ICD 9-CM Coding, Health Information Management, Quality Analysis and Management, Medical Coding Practicum, and more.

The Medical Administration program offers comprehensive training in a variety of important skills including medical transcription, coding, billing and office administration. Topics include: Customer Service, Anatomy and Physiology, ICD-9-CM coding, Ambulatory Care Coding, Medical Transcription, Medical Insurance and Billing, Pathology, Medical Law and Ethics and more.

| Medical Transcription - Associate of Applied Science
The Medical Transcription program will prepare students to work with Physicians and other members of the health care team and transcribe their recorded dictations into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative materials. Medical Transcriptionists work with vital information that will go into a patient’s permanent health file, such as discharge summaries, history and physical examination reports, operative reports, emergency room visits, consultation reports, autopsy reports, diagnostic imaging studies, progress notes, and referral letters.

| Office Systems Specialist / Medical Office - Associate of Applied Science
In the OSS/Medical Office program, students will learn strong medical vocabulary, solid communication skills and medical office procedures in order to apply them in a medical setting such as a hospital records room, physician's office, medical laboratory or allied health organization.
