The 8-week Medical
Biller course is designed to provide the student with the skills and
knowledge necessary to successfully perform multi-faceted functions
in a doctor's office. Knowledge of various insurance providers
is emphasized along with basic medical terminology, anatomy, and the
training to perform the basic techniques in billing and coding. Extensive
computer instruction and lab time is also provided in Windows ME,
Medisoft and other billing programs.

Upon successful
completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of
completion in Medical Biller.
Advanced Medical Coder Course (Montclair, Riverside)
The advanced
medical coding course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge
and skills necessary to pass the certification exam as a CPC (Certified
Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist). All phases of
CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS are emphasized along with the new ICD-10 and hospital
coding procedures.
Topics in the Advanced Medical Coder course include:
- Introduction
to CPT
- Documentation and Compliance
- Evaluation and Management
- Anesthesia and Modifiers
- Surgery I and II
- Radiology
- Pathology and Laboratory

Upon successful
